Up ya arse!
Don't normally make many requests but I for 1 am very interested in learning more about the likes of emm studio and how it or other bits of software can be used to run through an emulation of EMMs. Have had a go but with my limited knowledge and not even having a MOSC to play around with makes it difficult to learn.

What I was thinking was something similar to the Atmega tut that nozzer started and finished, I know this is asking for a lot of other peoples input and time but I think would benefit everybody, wouldn't it?

What do you guys think?

Any experts willing to help the stupid? :proud:

Join the club.....would be good having a workshop like the atmega challenge. Normally i can figure things out fairly easily with a bit of playing around and loads a forum reading etc.

I recently started looking into poor mans logger using fun card, But i just dont understand the info being presented in EMM studio. So many questions not enough answers

The problem with a lot of these tools is that you really need an awful lot of background information to use them in a useful manner. It can often take months of hard work to get anything more useful than basic knowledge from them.

Sure, you can follow a tutorial to do simple stuff like decrypt Emm's but then you have to do the hard bit - fathom out what the Emm actually does !

Fathoming an Emm means you have to know how to read assembly language, specifically 6805/ST7 code. You also have to have at least a working understanding of the Rom10/11 hardware and a fairly detailed knowledge of the Nagra command set and Emm Nano's. It also helps to be familiar with the Rom10/11 disassembled listings.

I dont want to dissuade anyone from getting into this stuff but just dont expect to learn it in a few days from a couple of tutorials. Its a total immersion hobby that will take many months of hard work !

i'm interested as well. if you have already posted it could let me know?

Have been having a play with emm studio.

I need the revised versions of key.ini and knowns.ini in order to decode/action/see results of emms for pure and excw, anybody have the latest revised files, please :proud:

Nobody have the latest versions of keys.ini and knowns.ini then, tracked the files down to the shack but as they changed names and dropped their downloads section there's nadda there.

I'm after revised copies, not the 1's that are contained in the emmstudio zip/rar, that's unless the zip/rar has been updated to include these revised files but all the copies I've found so far just have the originals which have no info in them about excw/pure/tw.
