Freeview HD and it's all I use. I have a VM box .. Somewhere in the garage.. But it was just to get the package discount. Everything I watch is on the main channels or I download it. Used to have all the movies but they're old and repeated. Not fussed on sports and the rest is crap. Iplayer thru the smart tv is as far as catch up goes! I watch tv but I'm not obsessed by it ;)

Like he said.

Freeview to watch news etc cable box hasn't been even turned on for months ( makes a good clock) but most of the time the raspi xbmc is in use to watch through. But its cheaper to have cable box on lowest subscription then just broadband

i am sticking with freeview hd, far too expensive to get the sports channels so tend to watch sport in lower res on my pc. only 24 inch but better than nothing

Have free view on all tv,s but only use it in main bedroom as its freeview hd and also wireless smart also have a roku If needed. main tv in livingroom is smart but also have sky connected to that.

Youview box which is mostly Freeview with a few HD channels. Not that I can tell the difference TBH - must need a bigger telly or new specs lol plus a no-name Freesat box I hardly ever use.

Mostly watch the news and the odd drama but iplayer I use a lot and the Youview record option too.

over here its saorview have it on some tvs, also have triax combo sat and cable and added an external hard drive nearly full with a years recording on the irish channels,solo2 and duo have 1tb internal hdd and 2tb nas drive, pity the irish boxes cant network link lol.

Nope. We have freeview in the TV and never used it, our VM box hasn't been connected in 20 years, we only watch what we download, so also don't need to pay a TV license.

i have built into the tv but dont use it as we have sky multiroom
