Sony mess up on the SVR-HDT500

Sony recently released the SVR-HDT500 and 1000 freeview HD PVRS, within a few days retailers had an urgent internal message to stop selling them. Today came news that they are broken in some way and will be impossible to fix via firmware update.

Ill update it as I hear things. Its always funny when Sony f it up again

Seems like the playback is really jolty and its a design issue. Quite how a product gets to the point of mass production and retailers before such a major design flaw is discovered is beyond me. All ours are going back and the online stores have broken the page links from google

The reworked units are now available if anyone is interested. Should be around from next thursday
