I'm having a few problems since the new debutante skin was installed (who thought of that snooty name anyway?):Biggrin2:
Tbh I don't like it (too stark) but the lack of detail is probably better for smaller screens.

One problem is that the new skin doesn't appear optional until after you log in, and then you have to change the skin,
to whatever else you prefer. My preference is the original blue, or lightweight green, but I can't initially link directly into either.

http://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/forums.html. (used for years)..gives me a blank grey screen like this.Capture (original link).JPG
It used to take me directly to original blue.

I can get in if I use http://www.digitalworldz.co.uk. or http://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/forum.php. but it's like this. Capture (working link).JPG
and I still get debutante until after I log in. In other words, I can't link directly to my preferred log in screen style/colour.
Is there any way I can get it back to how it used to be? :nopity:

Next, the section buttons are missing, on "forum" tab, of the lightweight green skin now, but could have been for a while. See Capture (green skin).JPG

Finally, I'm getting "dropouts" again. The last time was suspected to be AVG blocking after it was an updated, but was never conclusive.
I may be reading a thread, or posting a reply, but when a refresh is needed the forum seems to have gone walkabout, often for up a minute.
No problems with any other sites, but I noticed it just after the new skin was added, again this could be coincidental.

All these apply on XP, Win 7, and Linux Mint, on two PCs. Different AVs, firewalls, and two different browsers.

All minor niggles, and no rush. I just wondered if anyone else had suddenly got similar issues, and since the new skin?

Still happening, and I've noticed it 6-8 mins after the hour. Does the forum do anything in that period ? Not a big problem, just thought it might be a clue.

Have you tried to set your preferred skin in your usercp ???

I get the site hanging at the 5-10 mins after the hour mark too m8,think Mick said something runs at that time

I have changed that to run every 4 hours instead of every hour, see what happens :)

It is quite annoying the slowdown exactly 05 minutes past the hour!!!

I can tell the time by the forum, when it does not do anything for 2-5 minutes I know its 5 past the hour.

Might be a good idea for me to write a small post saying what runs at what times, so when someone thinks its broken they can look at the post and see if it was running.

Did the "hang" start with the new skin? It used to happen way back, but seemed to re-appear with the new skin.
It's not really a problem for me, now I know it happens to others, and when. I'd already tried everything I could think of at my end, tbh not very much.:)

There will be times when the forum will hang or we are doing automatic backups etc (as the MySQL tables are locked on a backup) :)

However the every 5 minutes past the hour that should now be sorted, feedback would be good on that :)

Cheers
