My favourite food in the whole world is a dim sum dish called Sui Mai, these are Prawn & Pork meat balls wrapped in wonton wrappers and steamed.
I literally eat these by the dozen (which would be a very expensive thing to do in a restaurant but not too bad if buying from a chinese supermarket).

Now this is a food that very few have heard of and so that has got me wondering, do any of you guys have a favourite dish that very few people have heard of.

I don;t mind a takeaway but for me the best food is Chips with Fillet steak.

Whats Ghorka Tomato Chutney?

I think the sauce originally came from Nepalese recipes. I'm not to sure what the exact ingrediants are as I don't know the spices names in English but it does contain cumin, capsicum and onions along with tomatoes. I think they char grill the tomato's with the spices before mashing them up and serving them with the main dish.

Most people don't like the taste of Bitter Melon so I think the chef adds the tomato sauce to slightly dilute the taste of the harsh vegetable. His original dish used to be Bitter Melons finely cut on the John Dory which sat on top of spiced and grilled cherry tomato's. The dish would usually sell out in the fist half hour of lunch it was so popular.

That sounds good, I wonder if you can get it in the shops?

Cod roe on toast, granary, with a light covering of lemon pepper as a snack beautiful.

Well until last year my fav was The Sunday Roast,But now Its haggis A spicy explosion that will fill YOU.

I'm with you on the first part. The sunday roast has been my favourite dinner since I was a little kid. There is nothing that beats it and the feeling when going to bed on a saturday night knowing that you're in for a big slap up meal on sunday is just unbeatable.

Sausage chips and beans, with plenty of buttered white bread.

So I'm an unimaginative white lad from a working class background.

Sue me.
