i'm sick of taking sarnies to work so wouldnt mind taking some pasta in that i can heat up in a microwave.

i dont wanna eat dry pasta though so has anyone any ideas on what sort of sauce or whatever to mix in with it?

cheers

Tesco Italiano Spaghetti Carbonara is really nice

however it is 684 calories so not one to be used everyday!!

I guess most of us eat pasta the same way...lol, as stated above a few times, Tuna, peppers, onion, mayo or some Dolmio tomatoe and basil sauce is also nice.

btw....ask Aftermath, he is or was a chef or something like that, he usually has some nice recipes which I am still waiting on him posting again...lol

Dolmio sauce of your choice, with hot and spicy sausage, onion, mushrooms and mixed peppers.

Superb!

the easiest and tastiest pasta dish in the world is cook and drain your pasta (i like the thin linguine) add a big dollop of butter, a tin of tuna, give it a quick stir up.
get it on the plate ASAP and add generous quantities of freshly grated parmesan and black pepper.. and a nice bottle of plonk

dinner in 10 minutes

brilliant

If you have a mic at work you should never have to eat butties again really.

jacket potato with cheese and beans.

Chile and rice- make more from the night before in a tuperware, little bit of water in the mic.

curry and rice DITTO

pasta with tomato or a chicken soup over the top with meat of choice chicken/ ham/ tuna

Scrambled eggs in mic easy keep whisking on toast

pitas stuffed with spicy lamb/chicken extra from the night before

theres loads mate i could go on i haven't had butties at work for about 2 years now and if you get them to invest in a foreman the worlds your oyster mate.

Any pasta sauce in your local supermarket, I seem to try a different one every week, add some mushrooms, onions and sweetcorn and some polony slicing sausage or corned beef.

Beautiful.

Mmmm, my Chinese is waiting for me, sod the pasta.

I will post a few recipes , in the next few days for you mate, Pasta dishes that is.

but here is a couple of basic ones anyone can do, and are very tasty.

1st one ...Spaghetti bolognaise.

get 500g minced beef
Jar of Dolmio ( or any other ) Bolognaise sauce
Packet of Dried Spaghetti.

Bring a pan of water to the boil, add a tablespoon of butter or Margarine.
Grab a handfull of the spaghetti and lower it into the pan, boil for a few minutes ( keep testing the Spaghetti, you should be able to bite through it when its done )

Drain the water off the spaghetti, and add a tablespoon of olive oil and stir it well ( this is to stop it sticking.

While the water is boiling for the spaghetti
Fry the minced beef in a frying pan till nice and brown, then drain off the excess fat with a spoon. Add the jar of bolognaise sauce , bring to the boil, simmer for about 20 mins and pour over the spaghetti and enjoy.

2nd basic pasta dish is very similar to the above.

you need

1 Can of Stella
1/2 a bag of Fussili Pasta ( the spiral ones ) 250 g
Jar of bolognaise sauce ( or any other flavout you wish )
500g Minced beef
A good 2 handfulls of Grated Cheese Mature Chedder
a Packet of Plain Crisps.

first of all, open the can of stella and have a good drink
Boil a pan of water , add a tablespoon of butter, then add the pasta.
Have another drink of Stella
Boil the pasta till its nice and soft.
Get another swig of the Stella
Fry the Mince till brown then drain off the fat, add the bolognaise sauce and bring to the boil.
When the pasta is done , drain off the water, and put into a casserole dish, pour over the ( Mince and Bolognaise sauce mix ), and give it a good stir.
Finish off the can of stella
Spread the grated cheese over the top of the Pasta mix and put under the grill till all the cheese has melted.
Then crunch up all the crisps in the packet into small pieces and spread all over the top of the pasta dish.
Serve and enjoy..

I did a delicious fish pie the other night, it was so good i had it tonight too, i will post it later in the recipe thread i started a while ago..

Don't want to interfere with your recipes m8, but it is possible to susbstitute the Stella for another lager or will it alter the taste of the recipe...lol

fish pie.....I love those, pollock pie is ace.

Corned beef, hell yeah, it clings to the mixture and makes it nice and thick.

Throw in a whole tin or two to a large pan of drained cooked pasta with some pasta sauce, and whatever else you fancy. Sweetcorn and onions with some crushed garlic cloves is a fream.

And I like Aftermaths lager recipe, I cooked with white wine the otehr day, did potatoes, mushrooms and carlic in a white wine and cream sauce, mainly cream because I drank the wine, lol.

You cant beat soup on pasta m8 for a quick and easy meal thick soup like .

thanx for the replies peeps i'll be taking some onboard and giving them a bash next week:)

cheers all:)
