those

are stronger for what you are doing than those

if they were available in 12" 18" or 24" with 3" U bolts and not just standard 2" U bolts x 36" which are available in that design.

The SS A frame designs are bigger and heavier than the other designs, being made of flat plate, they are quite floppy until you bolt them on a wall if the bricks & mortar are solid enough and if you have enough room to fit them, then it's surprising how solid they go but I don't rate the single option with a 1.2 on, there's other much narrower A frame designs that have been about for years for this job, they've all got their good and bad points, another aspect is the pole, what it's made out of and how long it will be, especially from the top bracket plus the polarmount design, the Gibertini polarmounts are well made and nice to set up and work on, but they do stick out a lot more, much more than Channel Master polarmounts which are much more balanced and stable- very well designed for the action of the actuator at extremes of east & west and wind issues, although they only fit on the top of poles whereas the Gibis fit anywhere down a pole.

the pole is a 3 meter , 76mm galved at 4mm thickness... the dish was to be a gibby 1.2m/polar mount but ive just got a second hand andrew 1.2m with polar mount instead. the top bracket will be at 60% so 60/40 hopefully although it could be 50/50. i sent an e-mail to SSS a while back and they stated that the brackets would carry a 3 meter 76mm pole at 50/50 without problems. the andrew is much more stable and lighter than the gibby and doesnt reach as far out as you say. i do feel that 10 bolts in the brackets are a bit much and they seem very close together on the bracket but SSS stand by these brackets and im just after piece of mind and something that will stay up for years and years, regards mdt

EDIT. i was wondering how do you get forward/backward movement on the pole? the T+K has elongated holes to ajust the V bolts but it seems the SSS bracket has fixed V bolts which are on the end and not the side so if your wall is out of plumb(which alot are) is it a case of packing behind the bracket like on a L mount or is there an ajustment available?.

Re: heavy duty wall mount

Pretty certain it's spacers/ washers, not in the least bit tedious with all those bolt holes either on the wall or on the U bolts, but they won't move afterwards.

Not sure how solid they are with a 3m pole and 1.2 on the end of it all, the ones I've worked were singles, they didn't seem that solid but maybe 2 and a long pole will be.

If you are going over a facing pitch roof, the Gibi sticking out more would then mean you have to go higher to clear the pitch with the lnb unless you bend the 3" back,

The Channel Master is an easy choice in that case if it's got the red logo or if it's one of the newer no logo ones, if it's an old one with the old square logo with the dish icon & you can see the fiberglass on the back, they can lose a bit.

Re: heavy duty wall mount

Grax and Eurosat do not sell anything 'off shelf' so to speak that will fit a 3" Pole, Everything has to be ordered for specialist brackets and so is out sourced to other company's.

My personal opinion would be to have a small fabrication firm make the 'K' only brackets for you say 2 possibly 3 heavy duty and then order the 3" Exhaust clamps to go with the brackets.

Although i like the SSS brackets and agree Price is steep if you have a closer look at the thickness of the plate used you could get something thicker and stronger probably cheaper made up to spec.
