is anybody els unhappy With Picture quality on vu duo2

Yes I think its excellent, and tbh I did have doubts after owning the original Duo but the duo2 is a lot better.

all big screen tv's come with all sorts of modes activated by default which are designed to stand out while in the shop but in the home environment there horrible and best turned off unless you want to pay for a very expensive calibration setup it's best to turn all modes to default and leave them that way.

Tank you all for feedback.
I dont get great Picture with my duo2 so I need to find out where the problem is.
When I swap it with a Dreambox I get Perfect Picture with the same cables/tv.
Maybe it has to do with some drivers or image if I am the only one with problems.

@Ferret
I can se you have both Dreambox and Duo2.
Are you saying that the Duo2 you have give as good Picture as the DM800SE?

Tank you bobby123.
Strange.
I think I need to send it back and try another unit.

I have Pioneer tv and have tested every option avalible .
As you refering to ,it is different what you set it to and again if the sendings are 560,720,1080...
But my Picture are like the first LCD tv's With slow speed.
I can see the skin on People get blury when they move and SD sendings ar really poor.
The Depth and the collors are bad too.
So there has to be something With the unit.

I personally prefer the picture quality on the vu solo 2 and I have tried both, the colours seem more lively but that could be down to the settings on the back up image I'm using.... I have read a number of forums to see how to optimise the image quality and plugins like auto resolution have been recommended and to be honest for me they reduced the picture quality.. Like many others say on here I say don't mess around with the settings on your VU+ and just change the settings on your TV. I for one don't really see much of a difference between the VU+ boxes and the dreamboxes in the picture quality which did come as a surprise when I switched about a year ago but no one can say that it isn't superior at everything else, and the picture quality is pretty decent , not better than the sky boxes or tivo boxes but who can complain...

Have you performed the FPGA upgrade ?. This is a essential firmware update for the chip that controls the tuner card(s) on receivers with removable tuner cards ( Uno, Ultimo, Duo2 ).
