DM800SE with OpenATV image

Hi,

I'm looking at getting a DM800SE clone from the usual place but want to know how easy is it to put OpenATV image on it? Things like:-

1. How do I update the image?
2. Can I just get the image directly from OpenATV or do I need a clone safe Image?
3. What does sim210 mean?

Napster has a receiver for sale. Very good price.

1. Through web interface. There is a sticky guide.
2. You need a clone safe image. GJstroom's images are fine, you can even update online.

openatv is my default image these days simply the best in my opinion

as just works

is ur dm800se clone is v1 sim2.10 or v2 sim2.2 coz both & each has diff size image , openatv is a daily image patched by gjstrom

Might be better to rephrase this the other way round. GjStroom patches the OpenATV and OpenPLI images.

It says sim2.10 which I assume is v1 then?

If image needs to be a specific sim version compatible then where about do I get gjstrom compatible image from?

if it's sim 2.10 you just use sim 2 images

Yes if it is it is a version 1 SE version 2 SE run the 2.2 sim.

Its the team behind the clone box, the sim is the security measure within the Dreambox. What this means is you need to use sim2 images on the box.

I am hoping that with OpenATV I will get a stable good image with autobouquets for cable and ideally a 7 day epg.

Is it possible to get the Red-HD (v1) by rossi2000 and simonsez with this image?

yes it's in image skin feeds

just manually install any emu

then should appear

I'm using OpenATV-4.2-dm800se SSL #84d by gjstroom but I still can't get newcamd 1.35a to work.

I can see it in the plugin feeds (a feature of the image I'm using I believe) and can install it but have no look when trying to configure it, etc.

I go into Menu > Info Panel > SoftcamPanel which brings up "Softcam Panel v2.0"

At this point there are no cams showing so I click on Install and I try and select Newcamd 1.38 (v1.35a doesn't show) but it fails on installing 1.38. I've swapped it around so installed 1.38 from plugin feeds and from Softcam Panel v2.0 I tried to install 1.35a but fails again.

Am I missing something or even going about this correctly?

Also, how do I bring up CrossEPG so I can get full 7 day epg via (ideally) pressing just one button on the remote?
