My Openpli 4.0 cable image backup for dm800se

Decided to share my backup. Its aimed more at the cable side of things but its based on this image here from Alimac, so credits to him for a great image to start with.

I left his image untouched so see the link above for whats included but have added a few things such as:

Auto bouquets for cable (this version will auto detect your netid so n need to edit anything) thanks to LraiZer for that one! (DVBSnoop also added)
My cables.xml
EPG refresh. just set it up from plugins once you've scanned to switch to PVR_EPG in the morning and it'll download epg data for 7 days
Virgin EPG is enabled in Pli's epg settings so it'll start pulling EPG data from the feed while you watch tv anyway
MGCamd 1.38c is included and working.

So just configure your tuner, scan, run auto bouquets, configure epg refresh, configure the image how you see fit and your good to go!

This image is also perfectly fine for sat and still has Rats auto plugins included incase you want to use it with a sat tuner instead

DONT FORGET TO FLASH SSL84D BEFORE / AFTER (included in .RAR)

Remember this is for DM800se sim 2.1 boxes

Made a slight balls up with mgcamd, thought I had it working but I forgot to edit the mg_cfg so please unrar and ftp this one to /usr/keys and overwrite the old one! sorry guys!

Was hoping for some feedback on this so if anyone tries it let me know if everythings ok etc

I've given your image a go as it has everything pre installed but does it not have the brute force option on the scanning available?
my net ID is 40965 and when entering this in the Network ID it fails to scan?

have u tried the plugs ? Auto bouquets lite and scanned

I have mate, I get error 145 connection timed out.
On your image (Smirnoffs) when scanning it had the brute force and scanned everything in.

On this image, I flashed it onto the box then into plugin menu, selected autobouquets c2 and my area and got the following error 145.
I've also tried to configure the tuner myself with the net id for my area and still no joy.

Any thoughts?

u need one working channel for auto bouquets to work , u get this option scan on these settings , this is brute force

Nope that option isn't there.

Hi mate, you are correct the bruteforce option isn't prersent in my backup, its something i completely overlooked admittedly as I've always just scanned my frequency, quite a big thing to overlook I admit!

but anyway, maybe you could try these settings and see if you have any joy?

Hi jamesboyjim, on your picture of the manual scan, the frequency is showing as 187, what area is this for, as i couldnt see a frequency of 187?

I'm not sure of the specific area if it even has one, but it was given to me when I had scanning issues and it's always worked when I've helped other out! Explain that one! Haha

instead of 187 frequency i been using 411. Works perfectly each time, brute force would be an advantage, if you can install it on the box it would be appreciated.

I'll look into updating it, get mgcamd working out of the box and add a bruteforce scanning option hopefully over the weekend sometime

can you also possibly remove the satellite plugins, they not needed for cable box and use alot of valuable space.
