500c not finding sky1 with a scan ? please help

hi guys i just did a box for my friend . i am in edinburgh tw 6952. he stays in Livingston. and i did a scan under 6952 at his bit. not sure if thats right for his bit or not. the box finds all chann he thinks. but no sky1?. and it keep saying switch on the screen all the time i dont know what that means ither?.

i have the same problem and i have found out that at the moment sky one is in a trial channels space so the signal isnt strong enough for some boxes to pick up, you could try a booster to see what happens

i think the signal is ok. i think its up at 95% or so m8. i tryed a bruthforse scan as well as the normal auto 6952. still never found.? i am not sure how to set it for for his bit on the box? and it keep saying switch on the screen as well he says? please can u someone help me out with thease few probs if poss please.

What image are you using? I had same problem with BBC 1, 2 and STV. I was using an old image and no matter what I did rescan would not pick them up. Try getting some one else's service files with sky 1 on it and see if the channel appear like in my case it did but disappeared when I did a new scan. I am now using DigitalWorldzDream 0.3 beta and this has fixed my scanning problem. So I presume the fault lay with my transponders in he old image.

i am running the dw2 image on it m8. i can get of box back off him and try with a new iamge. i have some of my dbox service files quite new. but how do i convert and put them onto his 500c?. how can i check if he's ment to be on 6952 or sometings else ? cos i dont stay beside him ? its quite hard to keep going back and foword with the box

Download this View attachment 45333 and it will convert your files, although if you have used a bouquet wizard it wont convert the bouquet file correctly. He should know who his supplier was prior to virgin.

Put the DW neutrino image v0.3 beta on it, and you can set location for the scan. you will have to ftp some folders which can be found in the v0.1 beta thread.

ok thanks for that m8. i wil get the box back off him during the week. and i wil give it a gow. how do i delete all the junk chann out of the all services bit [red button]. cos when i tryed thay all just kept cumming back up agen? hes got kids as well so i know how to lock the bougeu folder that i'll make for him and put it into [blue button] but how can i hide or lock all services [red button cos there all still viewible from there as well?

Not too sure on that one mate, Im new to dbox, dreams my self so I am still limited myself. you could use a View attachment 45337. If you put on the Digitalworldz dream N 0.3 you can just copy the files straight in and no need to convert. so sort your files then put in new service files to the zapit folder.

The dw neutrino's will take dbox2 neutrino files no need to coinvert just copy from
/var/tuxbox/config/zapit the bouquet.xml and service.xml to
/var/tuxbox/config/zapit on the dream then
menu
service
reload channels
and it should be up and running.
