Dreambox 500c, DREAMUP Cant find,.

Tried everything!
Well.

MY Dreambox 500c. Wont connect to any version on dreamup including 500c dreamup V.

Says connection prepared.

Tried turning it on. Wont connect,

Have changed all RS232.

And still beign weird.

Network unticked.

sounds to me like a clone box, and i beleave at lot of them have that problem, you could try wrapping the null modem cable round box, im told that works sometimes or you could ftp the image to temp dir and installing throught blue or yellow button, if you cant i think you screwed.

Any mobile phone software in task manager will stop dreamup connecting.

i would think it would eliminate the rs232 socket from been faulty, like when you get a broken wire move it and it works.

If its a new box, remove the top cover and reverse the connection on the motherboard from the RS232 port, and see if this works.
Have had a few boxes that this solved the problem on!

Its definately a null modem cable?an rs232 cable wont work.

i was having a problem with my dreambox 500(it kept freezing all the time)then i read on this forum that i need to flash the box.so i did it and now when i scan again i lost all the channels.anly freeview is availablew to me.i also notice the channel numbers also have changed to the one ones i had before i flash the box.i dont know what to do now.can anyone help me pls?
