Hi,

I have recently purchased a dreambox, I used to own a Eurovox.

I have flashed the latest image from the PLI website using the guide found on this site. However when I try to scan for channels it does not find any. I went to the manual scan and saw that the symbol rate was set to 6952, with my Eurovox the symbol rate was set to 6887. When i changed the symbol rate it only scanned for one transponder and still did not find any thing. Is there a way to change the symbol rate so that it is used to search for all transponders, or is this waht Brute Force search does?

Also how can i remove all channels, i have removed all bouquets but can't figure out how to remove channels.

Thanks

Haj

Ftp the cables.xml file to var/etc and than do a scan.

What area of the UK are you in?

I'm guessing that since your eurovox was set to 6887 you're in an ex-ntl area.

Do a Manual Transponder Scan.
Enter one of these frequencies...

00291MHz
00579MHz
00643MHz
00755MHz
00803MHz
00818MHz
00826MHz

Modulation: 64-QAM
FEC: Auto
Inv: tick
Symbol Rate: 06887
use ONIT: tick
use BAT: tick
only Free: do not tick
network search: tick

Start scan.

Try the first frequency and see how many channels you get. Should be about 200 ish. If you think you're missing channels, try the next frequency and do another scan.

Hi

I have the same probs as hsomel (started this post) and have tried the following with both DW1.6.5 and DW2.

manual and automatic scans
back up from another working box

is there anything else I can try except replacing the tuner?

cheers

any reply would help even if its in the negative. Just so I know someone cares lol

less than 10%. I did have the box working for about 6 months with no probs at all. But now appears to have died.

Have you tried changing the tuner type from old/new and visa versa?

Do you have a 2nd box you can try and ensure the line is live with strong signal? If that works copy over the image from that box to your box and plug in.

If signal is strong and good and changing tuner type doesnt resolve, then I fear tuners dead and they are not interchangible:( New box required then.

the signal looks very low, try to see if the cable is well plugged at the back, or check if it is well installed. Do the bruteforce scan after that and see how it goes

Thanks for your help guys but I think its totally goosed. Nothing suggested is working and to be honest it gets really hot not like my other box.
