My folder on the pc is located at C:\Dreambox.

created new thread m8 as this isnt feedback ;)

OK m8, lets get this working! :)

Is your PC ip address 192.168.1.2?

Is C:/Dreambox shared? (i.e. Right click > Sharing and Security)?

Have you had a look at this post?

https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/showpost.php?p=787937&postcount=5

When you save the settings, you get returned to the mount manager page.

Click MOUNT and it takes about 10 seconds to mount then you get a green tick.

All your settings seem ok.

Yeah mate everything is the same.

I had the exact same settings on digitalworldz 1.6.5 and it worked?

Reboot and try again.

Maybe leave it a wee bit longer after clicking MOUNT

Tried rebooting my computer, dreambox, router and modem.

Still no luck :(

Should i have a hdd and movie folder inside my dreambox folder?

No, the /hdd/movie are folders on the dreambox which are there.

I'm out of ideas m8.

Maybe flash 1.6.5 again and make that still works. Confirm the PC/cable/router etc is all ok.

What happens if you try to mount the share manually? Try logging in to the Dreambox with telnet and try the following command:
'mount -t cifs -o rw,user=<your-user-name>,pass=<your-password> //<ip-of-PC>/<sharename> /mnt/hdd/movie'
The above is all one line, incase it gets split in the post. This should at least show some output and give you a clue as to why this isn't working.

-sh: cannot open D: no such file
~ >
What command did you type? Exactly. You don't want a D: in your path. I think what you've done is shared d:\Dreambox right? So the path would be '//<ip-of-dreambox>/Dreambox'. No need for d:, as that just has meaning on the local PC.

Thanks for all your help guys.
I've managed to sort the problem i was putting in my windows account name instead if the pc name.

How do i record with the new image?

Thanks once again.
