ERROR, Flash erase failed, box will be unusable now.

Please tell me my box aint knackered. Is their anyway of repairing it??

I tried flashing with dreamup as flashwizard pro would not connect and now I get this error

I couldn't get mine to work after trying all the suggestions, so it is currently winging its way back to China.

I did manage to reflash it but still no boot screen and blank TV screen

scotsman.. what exactly happened during the flash..

did you reflash your computer ?

did you disconnect or press cancel during reflash ?

No m8 I just let it do it's thing and got that error now it will accept flash but no boot screen, nothing. Remote will not do anything either

Looks like it's for the bin

sc0tsman use the file erase.img for (DM500)
Make the flash memory from the dreambox 100% clean
use dreamup DreamUp for all v1.3.1.0
and then flash with diffrent img hope this helps

1.use DreamUp
2.use erase.img
3.unplug and do steps 1&2 again we want to make sure it is clean from everything
4.use DreamUp again and use rel109-20060803.img from dream-multimedia

This happened to me last week whilst flashing, the proceedure had gotten to about 97% then kicked me out, the box tried to boot but failed, I reflashed it with Dreamup but every image i put on the box would crash at the country select screen. I then found that erase.img and loaded that, then I put my image on and it worked fine

I have tried 2 or 3 images t no avail

which version of dreamup u using theres a few u could try one of them wil surly get it going again is there any sign of life through the ethernet port ?
