Hi guys Was just wondering if it is poss to backup an image on the 600 without a HDD?

not got round to getting a HDD yet as my DVD player has a 250GB in so its not something at the top of my list

I am sure you could mount a network drive and backup to that.

Pretty new to this any info or links on making a network drive would be helpfull.

Please

You can backup to your tmp folder, just modify the plugin I posted - once you make your backup just store the image on your pc.

Is the temp folder big enough to hold an image without a HDD? Im only asking now as I wont be home till the morn so cant try it till then

Yes, otherwise I wouldn't have said to do that - lol.

hmm then I must be doing something wrong im editing the backup flex thing and changing to tmp dosnt work or am I getting this all wrong?

and thx for the help

Ok seemed to have made an nfi file but it seems small at 12M and the image I used was 20M any ideas?

FFS - it's fookin easy m8.

mod the file usr/bin/build-nfi-image.sh... to this.

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

Now your dm600 image will be stored in tmp.
