Clone image for DM800hd which allows WiFi???

Guys, ive put tons of images on my dm800 clone tonight but none let me select wifi, or wlan in the network options.

what image is best for this kind of network option?

the wi fi adapter is on that list but it is not displaying on the network settings :grayno:

Try the latest dreamboxUK image,im almost sure that supports wifi

Just choose the wireless connection from the network menu and set it up from in there,

Select use this interface or scan wireless networks and then fill in the type of security, dhcp and passkey etc and press ok,

That should work m8

thanks mate

tried to flash using web browser. using ie7, get "INVALID IMAGE (OR OLD VERSION)" message
using firefox, nothing happens when click FLASH

flash bootloader 84b first , then flash image again as normal, its saying OR OLD VERSION as you got old bootloader on box, that needs updating first

stuggling to change bootlader from 69 to 84.

wow that now is very old, think maybe go up in steps to bl84 , i know if box works leave it, but staying on 69 , images have changhed alot from then, run better, stable better features, also make sure its sim 2.01 if not then cant update bootloader

I'm new to this side.....

One unit did not take the bootloader via web, I had to use the patched dreamup to load bootloader via serial. Image was flashed with the web interface. On another, it took the bootloader via web, gave the "invalid/old ..." message, but went through fine. Obviously the serial method is safer.

I dont think you can update that sim to ssl84 as its very old,try an image with a bootloader72 instead to see if that works

Check what sim you have. Mind you don't break the holder.

A 2.01 will take the 84 loader.

theres no writing on the sim, been told its a 2.01

when you boot up box, it says SIM on oled screen, but with it being bl69 it wont show on oled screen, you need to try to flash bootloader 72 - 74 see if it goes through, what happens when you try to flash 84 bootloader, if you have lower then sim 2.01 then you cant, would need to get a sim 2.01 then
