Hi Guys,

Sorry if this has been asked, but after using the search (for 3D) I got no results.

Does anyone know whether or not we will be able to tune into the Sky 3D channels and other 3D channels too?

I have managed to tune into the 3DSwitch on 9e and I get a picture, well two to be exact.

It seems I am getting channel, however rather than one picture I am getting to images of the exact same thing side by side (similar to Picture in Picture on the same channel).

Any ideas....?

well , BSKYB are using very same technology-- 2 pictures from stereoscopic cameras side by side. although residential viewing card won't clear it yet AFAIK
- IN ORDER tO get 3D picture -- you need to get 3d ready tv :

The 3D TV processes the split screen image and stretches the left image across the odd lines and the right image across the even lines. The illusion is finally complete when the viewer puts on a pair of circular polarised glasses, with the left lens extinguishing the light emitted on the even lines and the right lens extinguishing the light emitted from the odd lines.

there is poor man's solution aswell  :
PRISMATIC GLASSES will do same job for you - no fancy TV needed:banana:

Them links are great and making me think about buying the pair of glasses too to test out the 3D Channel I have on my HDTV rather than having to buy a 3D Ready Telly instead.

So in theory then the 3D Ready TV's will merge the two pictures together and the standard tv's will show them as slip pictures??
