How to Build Debian Linux server with CCcam

Hi,
I am trying this as well, and I get this

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

Any ideas as to why?
Thanks
swanny

It should read like this:

[root@swanside ~]# vim /emu/script/cccam

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

the above in the code box needs to be entered into the script you just opened when you entered your first command above ;)

then when thats done you can enter the next command :

[root@swanside ~]# chmod 755 /emu/script/cccam

Thanks, I am trying this on a CentOs, but think will try it on a debian tomorrow instead.

Cheers

What would be the best OS to use?
For some reason I now have a list.
Debian 4 32 bit
Debian 4 64 bit
Debian 5 32 bit
Debian 5 64 bit

Cheers
Swanny

Any of them will be fine although I would stick to 32bit for a server for compatibility sake :)

I tried debian, but it came back with a glic or something like that, so just going to install ubunto 9 32 bit and see how that goes.
Cheers

Why?? Can anybody advise on this please?

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

I have been through it all day, gone from debain to ubuntu but get this error?
Both files are in the correct dirs, CCcam.xb6 is in the /emu/cccam and CCcam.cfg is in the /var/etc?

Cheers

First off make sure your CCcam is called CCcam.x86 and is definately in /emu/ccam,CCcam.cfg should also be in there

but personally I think its a script error, can you ftp into /emu/script and get a copy of the cccam file in there and attach it to this thread so I can check it out ;)

for some reason the script file looks like this. I dont know why, I copied and pasted it, so maybe I need to type it out line by line?
Thanks.

lol that dont look well,

I have attached a cccam file as it should be,just remove the .txt bit from the filename and ftp it into /emu/script

I run ubuntu with a smargo with no troubles at all i think i have a self install some where for cccam and it restarts every night and cleans the logs once a week.

OK, I have now installed Ubuntu and ran through the procedure again, but still getting the above error, the configupdate works, so at least I am getting half way??

Say again??

If you are trying to read your card from your DM500 and then use your laptop as a server it wont work afaik,

you need your card attached to your server.

Oh, Didnt know that, I did have it in the Dm500, but ran into problems.
I will PM you what happens

Thanks
