How to recover an ERROR01 : NO CA FOUND - on DM800 (clone)

This summary "tutorial" to explain how to fix a DM800 not booting with the code "ERROR01 : NO CA FOUND" on the screen.

    Cause of the error:
    - bad flash
    - official image flashed

    -> ERR01 : NO CA FOUND

    What doesn't work anymore:
    - no boot
    - no network connection
    - no possible image upgrade
    - DreamUp unable to upgrade even with serial cable

    Solution:
    1) Use DreamUp 1.3.3 with serial (null modem) cable
    2) Choose COM1, connect, power ON DM800 and wait
    3) After a few seconds the DM800 screen will come back with an IP address
    4) Type in that address in IE
    5) Flash first a BootLoader (ex: 72R1)
    6) reboot DM800 and hold power button
    7) Wait for IP to appear on DM800 screen
8)Type in that address in IE
    9) Flash your desired image

Check the COM port you are using...

    If still not possible.
    - remove power
    - press power button
    - put power back
    - wait for the screen to show a DHCP given IP address
    - try to flash via Network on that address

Try again. It is the only way to get through it.

    - Remove power plug
    - Wait 30 sec
    - Put power back and immediately hold the power on button

Question Re: How to recover an ERROR01 : NO CA FOUND - on DM800 (clone)

Im having a issue also on my DM800 clone. I tried to flash using the network, but after flashing it try to reboot & after that wont boot.

I have hold down the power button & back on, still same error coming in the front display. no dhcp ip address shows on the front display.

Do i need to flash using the null-modem cable? if so where can i find only the boot loader 1st as you said.

I tried to install Gemini 4.6 , and also how can i find the image is suitable for clone box?

I got to know original box images not support for clone boxes.

    pls help.

Many thanks, above method works for my problem.

But i didnt flash only bootloader 1st. after connecting to the serial cable just flash the Gemini image.
