Can somebody please explain in lay man terms what are the advantages of having a triple tuner such as: SR4 Sunray4 DM800 se SR4 triple tuner with wifi ,s/c/t in one:

I have two satelite dishes one of which is fixed 28.2 and second motorised dish which i use to watch channels from 19.2, 7e, and hotbird with my current dm800se single tuner. I have to use a diseq adaptor to merge the inputs.

With the triple tuner can i dispose my diseq adaptor?

Many thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply. What does the s c t bit stand for and what does it do?

satellite, cable, terrestrial if spelt right means tv aerial

Can i put the 28.2 in cable input and motorised dish to s?

It is not a triple tuner, it is a combo tuner. You can only use one of the following at any time.

Cable (such as Virmin)
Terrestrial Aerial
Satellite Dish

If your receiver is configured it correctly, you should not be using the motorised dish for 28.2?

You can't use cable tuner on satellite

My motorised dish's view is obstructed by a tree for 28.2 so i have a fixed comunual dish which i use for 28.2

So essentially the combo tuner will be of no benefit to me.

Correct.

Is your setup working? I.e. use the fixed dish for 28.2 and motorised for other sats using a single tuner and diseqc switch?

vu duo or any other box with 2 dvb-s tuners will sort your problem
