Dreambox 800 se HD Sim Upgrade

Afternoon all,

I have a Dreambox se HD with a a8p sim and works a treat thanks to Rats image!

Question I have, is there any point in changing the sim to an estar 3.0?

Is there any major benefit of a newer sim?

I understand that it will mean a new second stage loader, and currently I am using new images then reflashing the second stage with 84b ssl.

to be honest i think you have the best sim for your box mate

i dont see any point changing it

no point in upgrading a8p you can use original images with a8p sim

How did you flash a Rat image to a A8p sim ? As far as im aware all Rats images are sim2

The a8p sim is the best sim on the market.

So I flashed the box with the image and then immediately after flashed the box with the correct second stage loader then rebooted.

If you reboot in between you get the no ca error.

Think I will the sim as it is then
