I thought i had mounted my hard drive properly and went to record something, it promptly told me my memory was full. I thought thats odd then realised the hard drive had un mounted it self and its written internally.

Im now 99% on internal memory, i would normally reflash but ive had a lot of grief getting the hard drive(which it now is) to work and would rather not tbh.

Anyone know how i can find the file on the internal flash or where it gets written to if no hard drive is connected#?

Thanks in advance.

have a look under "media player" then it should come up with where your files are saved and then from there you can delete them?

tryed that and if i click on internal flash it just comes up with the folder structure of the internal flash:( ive spent about 30 mins flicking through the folders from ftp but alas i cant find anything:(

What's in the folder structure then, do you have movies are some thing? must be there, i can't imagine it's going to be a massive recording since it's gone to the internal

(p.s when you do get all back up and running etc. you wanted to know how to do a complete back up, i found an old post i made on it HERE then save that image some where, should you ever need to re flash then you flash this image back and it does all the settings, reboot and your box will be back to normal)

i got into media playecr and i have wdc wd 500 which is my hard drive i have lower usb slot and i have internal flash......if i open internal flash i have autofs,ba,bin, boot, dev, etc, hdd, home, lib, media, mnt, proc, sbin, share, sys, tmp, usr, and var...

The obvious one to look in would be media but that just links back to my hdd and usb....

cheers though.

EDIt just had a idea, ive ftped in and downloading the whole internal flash to laptop and then ill search using windows search?

i think video is recorded in .ts?

god damn it was a good idea but that didnt work either:(

good call, just having a look for you now mate, if your internal flash is full that could also be why you've been getting green screen as well............

thanks ive just ftp'd in and cant delete some files ? do i need to change something some where so i can delete some files on the box?

the files are all over 2mb and are in \proc\a random number\task

are you sure there the video files, just be careful knowing your luck before you delete any thing! lolol.....i duno on this one mate.....but I'd suspect that they were part of the image maybe if you can't delete them.

You'll have to wait for some one else to answer that one as I've never experienced it my self.

would it not be quicker to flash the image again ?

once you have the image the way you like it like plugins installed etc, make a backup then when things go wrong a simple flash and everything is how you liked it before problem started ;)

I can't agree more, if you download the backup utility deep within the "Ts Panel" (sitting in the lab at the minute and can't remember where it is) then save the "dump" if it ever goes bottoms up then you can flash this back, re-boot and your box is back to the way you like it.

Been searching and can't find an answer for ya, how ever I'd imagine the recording is going to be way small if it went to internal flash, and of course no memory left = green screens and failures.

Good luck man, I'm sure some one will be around soon to answer your question.

as I said mate :)
clean install, put all the plugins and epg on that you like, so the image is just how you like it :)

I use GP2 FlashBackup personally, Backup the image and keep safe :) when something goes wrong your up and running again in afew minutes with your Backup flash ;)

Im sure this will save you heaps of time in the future lol

well thats handy! hard drive automatically worked this time!

including cross epg data and picons......

i will back it up in a bit!

back it up now! lolololol....so what did you do to help others? did you re-flash your iamge and then you went through and done "crossEPG" and "picons" etc?

i just reflashed the image and everything worked.....all i had to do was copy over bouquet and enter line.....the hard drive had picons and cross epg already on it and its all working at the moment!

HDD and or USB will keep everything stored :) they are not touched during a reflash ;)

What the ****? just gone to record something and i get the no hard drive pop up!!!! arghhhhhhhhhhhhh

EDIT and now the box wont even boot just says stop on the front of it.

why for the love of god did i fiddle with it last week!
