me mates thinking of getting a dream box and wants it wireless, is there any specific chip set needed to do it, and I've seen it once before the wireless plugin, but can't find it now, any ideas where it is, I've brought a few dongles home with me to try but can't find the "wireless plugin" I'll keep looking as I've seen it before some where in the menus!

When i first got my dm800hd i was thinking of doing this & i found this list online, but not sure if it's upto date to be honest

Thanks for that bud, still looking for the plug in"....been a long day

Thanks buddy i'll give it a go when i get home! cheers

Thanks for the files, transfered them to the dream var/ and i can't see it under any settings on the dream box? any ideas where i should be looking, do i have to download a plug in? i have a couple of wireless dongles that i want to try and see if i can get them working before purchasing one of ebay.....cheers

EDIT: ok it would seem that if the wireless dongle is compatibl then the Wi_Fi option will appear under network options....according to the net that is....

You know what guys i think i'll just set up a wireless bridge between a couple of routers, sounds easier than messing on with a dongle etc...

Ok managed to get it to connect, well sort of,it wont resolve the nameserver for some strange reason and any other drivers wont install as it says the latest are already installed,

might try uninstalling the original drivers and then trying others,

not sure you should get one m8 but for the sake of a tenner it might be something for you to mess around with lol :)

Ok guys...After finding my Belkin 54G wireless adapter kicked back into life when I redownloaded the PC drivers for it I tried it in my 800SE but theres no WLAN connection so I'm assuming the 800SE needs the drivers too (although it previously did work)..So my question is now that I can't network with the SE what's the best way to transfer the drivers across and to which folder?, and where to locate the drivers for download..once again thanks for the help..
cheers.

to be honest mate a dream box with out connection to the net is probably going to be a pain, you see you get all the goodies as you may well know when you get on the downloads etc, camms, plug ins etc etc. might be worth hard wiring it? home plugs? etc? I've just tipped my toe in the water when it comes to the "wi"fi" side of things with them and i seen the drivers but ended up doing other stuff as a simple network cable down the back of the TV to my network and I'm sorted.....i'm not sure of carrying on if at 1st you don't have an ethernet connection even to your own network for channels etc etc.....
