Just found my old DM500s box in the back of a cupboard today and as I have a free evening I have decided to try to allow it to breathe again, of course I will need to read up again about this unit but as I recall it served me well for many a year way back when...

So first things first, after a quick look around for a new image for the unit I came across a new one (to me anyway) called Commando, is this the way to go or can anyone recommend a better suitable image for the DM500s?

thanks for your time

Commando 15.0b will serve you well. It is in the downloads section, but you obviously can't download from this forum at the moment.

Thanks Abu, I will take a look around for it.

Abu I found, downloaded & installed commando 14.6, everything installed OK regarding fixes etc, it seems to work flawlessly and superbly.

Is there much difference between this version & 15.0b?

thanks for your time

They are worlds apart especially when it comes to scanning/creating bouquets. Less than 1 minute.
@PaphosAL and @LraiZer have put in much effort.

yip commando 15 does a good job

Just a quick update.... installed 15.0b last night and what can I say, absolutely brilliant, how can those guys make such a small box sing such a wonderful tune.

Kudos to all involved in the making of this image, and thanks again to Abu for the pointers.

:drink: I owe you all a pint of Guinness especially as its St. Patrick's day today

I was giving one of these the other day Masterbox AAA7 (500S clone) whist on holls, I flashed with commando 15.0b the wife's now happy 7 day epg (had Amiko micro before now sold to local bar).
Brings back memory's of cable always have a soft spot for neutrino images.
