i did full scan
all systems
fast scan off

many thanks guys

what image do u have on the box. try flashing a newer image i.e gavs pacino 1.0 very good on scanning channels.

well to be honest im very limited on my knowledge that why had to go for one that said this

SAGEM D-BOX 2 WITH SPORTSTER IMAGE

This dbox is silver grey and has the latest sportser image installed to make it as easy as 123 to setup, All you will have to do is connect it up and do a service scan

ive looked at all tutorials and im afraid of breaking this now i payed for it im doing another scan now see if i pick up more

i just dont wanna ruin it

i get around 180 maybe at most

is this right? my other box got a lot more before it broke wasn`t a dbox tho

Hi m8
You wont ruin your box by putting a newer image on it, some of the older Sportster images dont always pick up all the channels which is why someone suggested thtat you flash it with a newer image such as Gavs Pacino v1.0.
If you dont want to flash the box with a newer image then how about getting your hands on the services.xml and bouquets.xml files for your area and logging into the box and placing them in the tuxbox/config/zapit it replacing the 2 files that are already in there, that may help.
Personally I'd take 5mins to flash a newer image and just do a scan.
the 6887 and 6952 numbers you refer to are for the different cable companies, 6887 is if your in a NTL area and 6952 is if your in a Telewest area, when doin a scan turn fast scan off if your not picking up many channels tho it will take ALOT longer to complete a scan with it off you may get much better results.
Hope this helps.

180-190 channels does sound bout right for Telewest, think NTL have a few more but not that many that it'll make a huge diff.

ah right sounds like ive got all im gonna get new scans finished i have itv now lol so must have missed a few channels invcluding radio it came to 263 channels

Try doin a scan with "All Services" instead of just "TV & Radio" and you'll get everything that they have to offer.
Glad your sorted anyhow, have fun.
