Hi.

Had my dbox a few weeks now and loving it. There are a few things I'd like to get sorted before my dreambox arrives from dvb and my Dbox2 goes to my brother. It's a Nokia with Cryo_Sportster_Pro_1.02_Ultra1.4b_2x.img on it, in Ultra mode.

1. Direct file recording.
After a bit of playing around I thought I had got this working. Sometimes it does, but most of the time I end up with the beginning of the recording fine in a .ts file and a load of files ending in .0 and .1 of seemingly random sizes (mostly about 5mb). I'd REALLY ike to know if anyone else has seen this and fixed it.

2. Streaming.
I set up streaming with VLC using UDP. Works great, but I want to stream to more than one pc at a time (office PC and eventually the xbox downstairs). I followed the method pt-1 posted here http://www.world-of-digital.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66033 and it worked to 2 other pcs perfectly. Then I noticed it totally wrecks my internet connection. I can ping my router (Linksys BEFSR41 with latest firmware), but nothing on the internet. As soon as I stop VLC streaming the pings get replies. I'm hoping someone might know a bit more about UDP and multicasting than me and be able to sugest a fix. All I can think is that my router doesn't like it - and that's hardly an explanation...

3.
Easy - Can I just chop that nasty German plug off and just fit a UK one? I'm scared of blowing it up.

Thanks for reading.

A bit of an update, I flashed the box with Pacino 1.0 and still have the same problem with direct recording. My System is an Athlon XP64 2800+ with 1.5Gb RAM, fairly new build with only what I need running. Surely that should be enough. Please please if anyone can suggest anything to help...
