i have a nokia dbox2 and it is stuck on bootup (loading kernel). i've tried flashing it using ifa portable and older versions of ifa and still no joy. doing the flash process normally you get loading############.
but i'm getting loading TTTTT.
I previously got loading##### but it was very slow and eventually bombs out. it does the same on 2 pc's. this is the second nokia dbox thats done this, both involved the laky pro image, a mates sagem also went tits up about 2 weeks after he installed laky pro.

here's the bootlog

is there any chips that could be swapped out. i have access to some soldering/desoldering equipment.

first of all try connecting to your box by pinging it thru the usual start then run

i've tried portable ifa and there isnt a problem connecting to the box, ifa fires up no prob it. it only gets so far then fails.

normally the cpu is the most reliable chip on most pcbs.

did the power fail while flashing box or have you tried flashing the wrong type of image x2 or a x1 when it should of been the other way round

the box is stuck in a reboot loop during the flash process.its nothing to do with the wrong image type. i've tried 2 pcs and various versions of ifa (including portable). is the sec chip the main processor in the box?. does anyone have a detailed circuit diagram of a nokia or what signals to check for during boot up.

The sec chip is not the cpu the FP is most probably faulty its not worth fixing bin it.

Don't know if it will help but I had a box that was difficult to flash and I got it sorted by using stacks guide for which you need a null modem cable. It was worth the effort and a piece of cake.

whats the fp mate
FP= Front processor
you need extremley good soldering skills and the right equipment to change it and for what it costs for a replacement(£31.50= £7.65 pp) you could buy a replacement box, but there going to go off anyway
