New image for you peeps, CVS as of 07 April 2008

SS-Enigma V3

Main features are as below but please see the read me in the download.

1. Ucode menu actually works (only just found out that it didn't in V2)
So worth trying again if you have a fussy box

2. Infobar channel icons! Most included in /var/tuxbox/icon, you may need
to re-name some due to regional differences, just name them exactly the
same name as the channel shows up in the infobar. If some are missing
then simply create them. They are a png 100x60. The image detects any
missing icons for channels viewed and logs them in /tmp.

3. Skins, new default skin included that is compatible with the channel icons,
It is a modded version of a Dreambox skin called "futura", also included in
the image is a modded and improved version of AL's "Hybrid" skin also able to
show the channel icons. You can change skins in the menu's

And as before
It has UK Scan all
It has a full cam and ucode menu (press and hold the blue button for 2 secs)
It has a working infobar for UK
It runs plugins fine that some other Enigma images fail to run.

Correct, all images are fta so don't expect anything different with this one exept the improvements over SS-Enigma V2

ftp problem

Installed enigma V3 but cant ftp into dbox2 to load services and boquettes using root/dbox2 can anyone help

Have you set up your network to suit the box IP ?

Remember this image is bare, you will need to FTP some extra files over to get it working fully.

Also, this is an enigma image and your neutrino services and bouquets wont work.

enigma V3

set the ip, switched on DHCP ( i think, is the cross off or on) do the ports have to match eg port:21 not sure what to put in the nameserver section. ever since i changed from sporster i haven't been able to ftp into the dbox, is there a way around this so i can go back to sporster :Cheers:

If you're not used to enigma images they can cause a lot of headaches, read up before you try.

I have been useing the V2 up till the resent problem we have with the keys at the moment, but I was just wondering id it is possible to change the cams from the menu.

I must admit I found the enigma image very stable.

Ive read somewhere that changing the cams menu in v2 didnt actually work, but it does in V3

I am running v3 and its as sweet as anut !

The cams changed fine in V2, it was the ucodes that didn't actually change but this is fixed in v3.

Managed to ftp will go back to enigma when things settle down as i like that image back on sportster pro but can't change the keys with the remote any good guides where i can learn how to do that. do i have to check alpha cam settings, once again many thanks great forum:Cheers:

Just put tuxbox commander into /lib/tuxbox/plugins/

Is there a Zapit history button like there is in the commando image? I cant find it on Enigma V2

Yes- it's in Advanced Settings menu. When activated with the tick, you press the 0 button to switch to the previous channel viewed, then 0 again to toggle back to the channel you just left.

Not the previous 10 channels, like neutrino, but for some peeps who were watching all the pr0n the night before- the Enigma way might be the better way, LOL!

Like the look of this image and thanks for the hard work.

For the life of me though I cannot get this image to work. I have dumped all the essential files into the \keys directory including the new ROM7 key, but I still cannot get the image to display anything other than the FTA channels.
Do I have to also place the cams into the \bin directory. I have tried this as well but still can't seem to get the image to work.
I have set the cam to evo and also set the ucode to 001A which is my usual but still no joy.

Is there something I am missing?

Desperately would like to get this iamge up and running.

Also how do i disable all other keys except the new rom7 key?

Any help would be appreciated.

Keys in\var\keys

cams in \var\bin NOT \bin

There are 2 bin folders!
