after driving round for about 30mins the engine management light pop on and the car go's in to limp mode

pulled the codes from the car and this is what i have

P0238 , Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Sensor 'A' Circuit High
P1351 , glow plug fault
P3008 , Camshaft position (CMP) sensor - signal limit exceeded (might be this)

Glow plug error is no problem i can check them and replace

i am unsure what to do with the Turbocharger problem ,this could be down to the boost pressure sensor as it showing a boost all the time on the obd2 scanner of 29.5

i would think the Camshaft position sensor needs to be change or cleaned

only down side is that eash one of the sensor i need are £50 and up so can not afford to start replacing thing that do not need to be replaced

any help with this please

before the limp mode kicks in the car drives great no problems ,i have been told by my dad

has anyone got a wiring diagram for a citroen c3 .need to know what wire 5090 is doing after the egr valve

wires go back to ecu on autodata

hi smirnoff_rules ,cheers for the reply

i tested all the wires back from the egr valve bar one which i do not get continuity reading on just get a open circuit ,which has a wire code 5090 which i just can not find on any wiring diagram
just to check and make sure this is where the wire is going

right i am now getting

p3008 mass air flow sensor high

pending fault

po2413 exhaust gas recirculation EGR system - performance problem

this car is going to be the end of me ......

Egr valves don't work....never will, it's probably jammed/full of crud, can you clean it in place or easily remove to clean

The air mass fault is probably due to the egr

replaced the egr with a new one ,looked at the old one and yes it was sticking

but still getting the above errors so it looks like i might have a F**** mass air flow sensor now ,,i hate this car .....lol

What sort of use/mileage? I have the same car- low-ish mileage and mostly open road use & (touch wood) no such problems.

u are meant to tell the ecu u have replaced egr too m8 , if not take hours of driving to setup , but it will do it but afew days to self program

here one l did afew months back

would this give a p3008 code then ,if the ecu has not been told it has a new EGR valve ?

my thinking on it is that it picking up a odd out of spec signal from the mass air flow which bring up the p3008 code as the mass air flow is part of the egr feedback loop that in turns bring up the p02413 code

or am i just going mad

i have driving the car for a good hour tonight and just when i was thinking cleaning the mass air had worked ,the light pop on again .the last 3 times the light had come on it been at low speed

cheers for the help with this

l used Citroen agent software , gives you the problem not always a code , never replaced a mass air on one hdi yet but not saying it isnt u/s but cheap and very easy to replace , not common fault , wires rubbing at the back of the engine is common tho

not sure where u get P3008 is just maf .

EOBD type Fault location Probable cause
P3008 Mass air flow (MAF) sensor - air flow high Wiring, MAF sensor, EGR valve, exhaust system, ECM

egr pipes can block because of carbon

could only find this berlingo one l have on record

we have now charge MAF sensor ,EGR valve and check for any carbon have found none ,,exhaust system look fine ,so this has to be down to the ECM then ???

any way to check the ECM before i give up

have u removed the cat then and checked its not broken ?

i will put my hand up and say i have not checked the cat ,might have time at the weekend to pull it off and check ,cheers for the help with this so far smirnoff_rules
