Hi I have a brand new Hyundai ix35.
The last month been having a few problems with it..
Firstly it has become hellishly hard to change gear,it goes into gear but you have to really ram it in,and getting it out of gear into neutral or into any other gear is just as hard..It does not grind or anything just feels like its clamped when in a gear.
Then i have a grinding on the left front wheel when i break which is really loud especially when breaking cold.
Oh and the reversing warning bleeps sometimes work and other times not...

The car is going back to dealership but was wondering if anyone could give me a heads up..

shouldn,t be happening on a new car mate

if not sorted rapidly demand a replacement as not fit for purpose

grinding from brakes usually mean new brake pads needed but cant be your problem surely unless you really jump on the brakes hard

maybe bit of dirt trapped between caliper & disk

yep it is going back..its only 6 weeks old im just curious more than anything as to what the cause might be...

I have the 35's predecessor, the Tucson. It's almost 10 years old & is still excellent. Just passed its annual inspection the other day without a hitch.
I recently got chatting to a mechanic who works full time for an independent car hire company. They only use Hyundai now, as their after-sales service is second-to-none. Even a worn out clutch would be replaced without question (as against Ford's 'Ah well, it's how it's driven' excuses), so I hope you experience the same good service. Good luck- let us know how it goes!

Get rid ! It's not fit for purpose demand a new one !!

They had the car for 2 days and then said it needs a new gear rod cable as it is bent.?and they need to order one..so it has to go back again

What about brakes ??

They said they could not find any thing wrong..

Can you still hear the noise ?

YEP..its still there.
