Hello again im back....
feckin car is really annoying me.
This time its the handbrake.

the left hand side (rear) will not disengage. So im stuck lol. I've checked the calipers and i thought it was the caliper (342 quid plus vat). But then used a power pack on its own and the motor works fine so the caliper is fine.
Im thinking electrics somewhere.

I dont have the wiring diagram for this. does anyone know how i can diagnose it?
Or have the wiring diagram? Also, are there two seperate fuse for the left and right side? or just the one. I've replaced a few faulty fuses but not fixed it.

I've now manually disengaged both the calipers so theres no handbrake. im using the gears to park. dont want to take it to dealers yet.

u will have to get it plugged in, on the later ones u have to use scanner to open calipers to fit pads and the scanner to close and adjust brakes ., im sure there a smaller garage around that can do it , most scanner that have been updated have this function

it wont open with the scanner. only close. although im not sure if its a faulty scanner mate.
only thing tho is that the scanner wont tell me where the problem is.

never had one that wouldnt open m8 .. its a simple op as my picture above

had a passat 08 in today with handbrake fault ,,. the main agent told him it wanted a caliper and replacement wires ,

scanned it and it was a button lol 25 notes , lads over the moon .,. u cant trust anyone these days

That's why I'm not taking it to dealers. I reckon it's a faulty connection to that one side as one side works fine. The caliper also works fine as I done positive and negative test on the release and close mechanism on the affected side.
