Have two cars that I need to scrap, taking up driveway space and becoming an eyesore just sitting there. Did'nt mind just scrapping them for nothing but been told there are some places that will pay to take them away but was given no names!

Better a a few quid in my pocket than letting them go for nowt if I can.

phone about mate you'll get between 60-120 quid these days

I used one,got the number out the evening times i think it was A1 autos they came and uplifted in glasgow and paid 120 quid for a citroen Saxo.

ye i know mate but the car needs to be mot'ed and taxed to get it to the dealers most of the time, thats the catch

just googled it and you get £100 minimum with one
scrap cars for cash glasgow is what i googled

Phone a scrap metal merchant current price is about £130 tonne remove wheels as they charge on average £5 per tyre regardless of tread, don't both with scrap car dealers they pay on average third of the scrap metal price, I would exspect to get at least £200 for 2 cars.

you also need to drain all fluid i.e water, oil, break fluid and fuel
remove the battery and wheels before you can scrap it at a metal merchant
i know this as my mate scraps cars every day
also best way to get good money for them is to ebay as breaking for parts
but the car can sit on your drive for a few weeks

Check with scrap merchant before you do anything as the one local to me (Widnes) does not require you to drain any fluids but different merchants will have there own rules.

Cheers for the replys, Ive seen a1 listed in my local paper, might give them a ring and see what they offer but the ebay option sounds good never even thought about it
