megane 03 sidelight problem

the drivers side sidelight dont work on my megane 1.5dci 03 plate...all other lights work fine, fuses are all ok, changed bulb twice..still dont work...MOT failiure...doesnt seem to be any power on the connections to the side light...checked with car lamp tester...somewhere along the line there must be a break...any ideas guys..

Easiest fix is to run a new wire into it from the working side lamp.

i was thinking that myself...just two wire on the working one..a brown (connects to back of bulb) and black wire earth i think..so shall i simply run a lenth of wire from the brown one straight across to the other drivers side ?...what about the fuses..at the moment 7.5 amp for each side light.......

is there a big multi block on headlamp as you might have a dirty/damaged pin and inside the headlamp goes to the relevant units.

Black should be neutrel and common on both sides, the live should be a different colour on both sides as I think side lights are split on seperate fuses for each side.

yes there is a block on the back of the headlights...trouble is access to it is limited...need to remove arch lining to get access...will have a look when weather gets better..cheers guys..:Clap:
