The cars due for renewal in jan..

but neeeds tax and test by the 1st.. so trying to work out the best for me as have been planning on buying next doors galaxy cheap.. (6months mot, imonth tax. all it needs is a new gearbox cable.. easy fix)

mondeo last year cost 600... with me as named driver.. however for taxt and test needs a few things done,.

well mondeo this year £900 (+170t&t+150 parts)(nothing changed)
galaxy bigger car + engine £750 (+350to buy+35parts)

are insurence companies on a bonnus pay rise or summat..

fooking legalised extortion i tell ya
 
last year i paid 280 ish full comp and this year the price was no lower than 500

fj insurance broker came out the cheapest @ 390 including breakdown cover+home start fullycomp 4500miles per year.

petrol goes up another 5p in the new year as well

wont be long before most people find it very expensive to drive
 
Yes not just insurance prices, petrol prices as well. I think people were so engulfed in the weather being bad they have missed the increase.
Before this bad weather started I was paying 118p a litre in london and 115p a litre in watford. Now its 123p and 121p. That's a huge rise and nobody has said anything.
 
well tony blair made it illegal to protest against fuel rises

sad thing is mate that oil is still below 100$ a barrel and it was over 140$ a barrel in the petrol peak of 2008

so we are paying an extra 20p a litre more than 2008 and no one gives a shit

we are heading into a deeper recession again in 2011 as we are still not really out of the 2008 one yet

and forget the extra 1p a litre stamp duty hike in 2011 pre budget that darling introduced this year & add another3p a litre fron jan 1st

i drive a range rover and this year it was £300 by sureterm...cheapest by far..give them a try

cheapest diesel here is £1.26 a ltr.. i get 22miles PG

Just reused last years details on moneysupermarket.. obv added another years no claims. and yeah.. mines up by £300 from last year..

Dont fancy that search for insurance when it comes.. march is my renewal.. ill ignore it till then :(
