does a claim on my customer liability affect my trade motor policy

had a customer blame me for a wheel (aftermarket wheel and she was told to double check it too ? ) coming loose after 2 months ,. and has not claimed for repair to car ? but trying to claim for a sore neck ..

one of these no win no pay companies

any ideas

lm trying to get the insurance to fight it but these days there happy to pay out because its cheaper that going to count . l even have a letter from another garage she went to and asked to check the nuts but didnt want to wait and drove off

well.... i had a problem as well a year ago, didnt effect mines in the slightest and it went down this year

Coming off after two months??

I would have told here to get to ferk!

How are you to know she has not had the wheel of in the mean time?

havnt even spoke to the cow m8 just a letter .. getting like the usa m8

the fact of the matter is mate if it came loose it would have done that in hours not weeks

I'd tell her to bolt m8, after 2 months she's a chancer. Your insurance will prob view it different and make her an offer to settle. Fu**in ambulance chasing solicitors.

if your insurance doesnt want to take it up you have proofthat she is a tw@t by not taking notice of you and the other garagealso inform your insurance that as they are being no help you will be looking for an alternative insurance next yr

Paul , You know as well as me that it wouldn't take 2 months for a wheel to come off if the bolts weren't tight + it would have rattled like hell for a while BEFORE it came off. She's at it mate and hasn't got a leg to stand on.

alloys were not made for that car , the studs were that tight we had to use cracker bars to release .. it was only a 206 14 with 215 60 17 wheels on , the wheels where made by dj racing and that wheel was stopped in 2001 and the car was 2005 .. thats why l said bring it back

l spoke to peugeot today and they told me that car with that reg was made with steel wheels as standard , so phoned insurance today and they said they will look into weather she had added the wheels as a custom extra .. if not she is fooked they said

if she hasn't told her insurance about the modification she is on very shaky ground. If she wants to go to court then she has to prove that you were negligent, your don't have to prove you weren't. Don't pussyfoot about with her be as awkward with her as possible and make it as stressfull as you can for her.

i got my brakes done at a garage & they left the wheel nuts loose. when they become looser you can tell there is something wrong & she should have stopped well before anything happenned. makes a hell of a noise, try it !! (NO DON'T) mine were noticable within a few miles.
