shes 20 weeks the now, i walked with a mate and picked her up, she walked about 9.5 miles :-(

That won't have done her much good Mate hope she has thawed out and had a hearty meal and some hot drink down her.
Make sure she rests now and forgets about work till it's safe to get there if she can manage to stay off.

glad everyone else got home ok especially your missus p33:Clap:

satellite shot shows the Central Belt of Scotland being battered by another thick cloud of snow. The picture, taken this afternoon by Dundee University, shows that there is no let-up in the Artic conditions which have caused chaos on the roads for thousands of commuters today.

abandonned car 1/2 mile from home at 8-45pm........

fookin great day... :)

my cars stuck at work in bellshill - every road was gridlocked so walked home from bellshill to coltness - 3 and a half friggin' hours and my bones are killing me, if the buses aint running tomorrow i'm not doing it again. Glad you got the Mrs home P33 and keep her there - no let up in sight until at least friday due to the cold temps. Weatherman - who needs them. The bridge over the calder from Coltness to Cleland is jammed with abandoned cars (just to let people know NOT to go that route).

It was total madness glad your wife is ok P33. Im glad e were not too bad either left Glasgow at 10.00 to head home to Glenrothes and got home at 21.30. When the snow fell on the m8 it was crazy the amount of times i needed to jump out to push BMW drivers. We heard the m8 was closing and heard the forth bridge was madness so got off and decided to head to the kincardine bridge got stuck outside Airdrie and never moved for about 4 hours luckily we were stuck right outside a burger van. We got fed p so pushed hotels into the sat nav and seen back the way there was a premier inn think it was in Motherwell so turned round went there for a few hours got some food and relaxed for a bit.We were going to stay the night but there was no rooms left think everyone had the same idea. Went we decided to leave t was pretty much plain sailing east on the m8 for us on way home would not like to have been going west it was total madness must have been gridlocked for atleast 30 miles and didnt look like moving anytime soon. The wifes cousin was also in Glasgow they left at 11.00 to go home to Stonehaven they still not home.

Hi GEZ how's things today was watching the news this morning and couldn't believe the chaos on the Motorways up there the Scottish Council normally do a great job, must have been caught on the hop this year.
Have you completed your journey now and found rest bite inside 4 walls rather than the cab of the wagon.

It takes 1hr for the lift to reach the top floor. :)

i am so worried the work sent the wife home in a black hack over an hour ago, coming from glasgow she hasnt even reached moodiesburn yet...bad enough shes carrying the bump with her and i cant help :-(

Glad that she managed to get back OK.

A few years back, my cousin's mrs was doing her last day at work before going on maternity leave. when she was 37 weeks gone. She had to return a laptop and some equipment, instead of posting it she decided to drive from cambridge to runcorn. Unfortunately on the way back she got stuck on the M11 due to snow. Plus for some reason she didn't have her mobile with her. My cousin got the local radio station to broadcast her details and a fellow person in the jam allowed her to use his phone. The police even got in touch and offered to get her with a 4x4 if she started contractions, lol. Lots of people offered her hot drinks and stuff but she said she didn't want to take them as she would need to pee every five minutes, lol

With the second baby, my cousins would not allow her on any long trips after 30 weeks.

lol i will have to learn all this mind you should be our one and only couldnt handle two ;-)
