i bought it on sat and it was driving fine , (private sale) drove it to work on monday and it kept on cutting out ,but will restart by key or bump everytime . So took it for a diagnotic test and came up with three errors / 2 were nothing and cleared off but the other , said that there was poor or no connection with transmission could this be the problem and if so is it costly . I have cleaned all the throttle boady and it still the same .

is there a black unit held on with 2 torx screws when looking at mono point with electrical connections under neath as there is a plunger in unit gets filthy needs a spray with carb spray, watch out for rubber seal also.

never heard of this code after 25 years in the trade ( no connection with transmission )

throttle housings are common and air leaks , would like to know the 2 codes he say where nothing tho

IF YOU DNT KNOW AFTER 25 YEARS , THEN I THINK IAM FCUKED LOL . i payed £35 for the first dianostic and i have told frf vauxhall want it said and so on and they want to charge me another £50 for another dianostic befor they are willing to tell me what wrong with it

how old is car so i can have another think,8v or 16v petrol or diesel:proud:

only things i can think of there as said throttle body which gets very dirty and will cause cutting out coming up to traffic lights, and egr valves which are troublesome, might not do any harm to throw in a can of fuel cleaner when tank is 1/4 full.:proud:

Problems with the 1.6 cutting out or not starting could be either the ecu or the ignition packs.
I have been there!
