Hi guys I have just upgraded to Oscam and resurrected an old card with channels that will only clear with Oscam, I had it inserted in an old dm500 running cccam which kept entitlements updated but I have now changed to Oscam to view the channels and notice that the entitlements run out tomorrow, my question is what do I need to have in the Oscam config files to ensure the card updates, (0963 card)
thanks.

think you have left it too late mate

cant see it updating you may need to force update

I dont mind missing this one as long as it gets one in next few days or so, i can manage without those channels for a while, its just to make sure i have my configs right in oscam really so that it updates the card.
cheers

will do m8..

If you are using the card in the box you are watching on then you are missing dvbapi section from oscam.conf

[dvbapi]
enabled = 1
au = 1
user = local-client
boxtype = ipbox

Thanks m8, but what exactly does that do? i am using the card in my viewing box and all channels clear fine, this Oscam is really confusing in comparison to Cccam.!!

It lets the card take an update ;)

dvbapi a must have

can force card update

ok ive entered the above into oscam.conf and changed boxtype to dreambox, is it ok to leave user as is?

you should have a dvbapi file

add 1 at the end like this

P: 0963:000000 1

another way to force card update was to change pin number

not sure if they stopped that way now though

You may also want to remove the emm cache duplicates until your card has updated then turn off all emms until it is known what is happening with skys latest security measures. Just take note off your entitlement date and enable emms again before they run out.

Oscam.server

emmcache = 1,0,15

Big thanks to eon for all the help til late last night on messaging, real gentleman. have some reputation...

Well card took update today so happy out, am now using only Oscam to read and share, thanks again everyone for all your helps..

I am bumping this as my entitlements run out on the 12th and it still hasn't updated, obviously getting very close now and I am getting a bit concerned, I have attempted to edit my config as so but fear something else is wrong. I can post the config file if that helps.
Cheers.
