Hi Guys (or should I say Hola!)
I’m in Spain (Alicante) for the next few weeks and have brought my Blade 7000s over with me. I’m sharing a 2m fixed dish set at Astra 28.2E with 3 other houses (we have a single feed each from a quad LMB)

With a dish this big I was hoping to pull in signals from the other nearby satellites ie BADR 26E, Eutelsat 21.6E & 16E Arabsat 2B 30.5E etc. etc. I was really hoping to polish up on my Spanish by watching Spanish films etc.
I’ve done a channel scan on all of the East satellites and on most (probably all) I am getting a few channels but they’re all the same as I have already got on Astra 28.2E (S*y Sports, BBCs and so on.)

Is there anything else I need to do other than a straightforward channel scan to get the non-English channels?

Thanks!

Th size of the dish makes no difference to how many sat's it will receive. In fact, the larger it is, the better the focus, therefore less chance of receiving anything from 'nearby' or adjacent sat's. Spain has dozens of free terrestrial TV stations, much like the UK's Freeview service so pick yourself up a cheap TDT box for around 20€, and you'll be learning Spanish in no time. As for alternative satellites, that's a different matter altogether, best to get your own dish & have a play about with it.

Muchas Gracias trevortron
I done that and was surprised how many channels were available on digital TV over here a few in HD too. I've just watched TopGear dubbed into Spanish, hilarious!
Thanks again.
