Need some confirmation/advice on some of the experts in this field, on the SAMSUNG UE46F6510 Smart 3D 46" LED TV.

I see it has a Freeview and Freesat tuner built in, so I've automatically assumed with it hooked up with the TV/Sat connections, plus an external HD, it could record from one tuner while watching another?

I can't find a review that says so. Is my assumption correct? Or is this for just showing two different channels on-screen from the two tuners while browsing the channels, etc?

Was asked advice on this, but don't want to say for definite that you can record one channel while watching another.

Thanks in advice from the very helpful members of DW,

Don't know for sure (not a lot of help) but I would of thought if you have both connections (terrestrial and sat) to the tv it could do as you say, found this on the tv

Dual Tuners for Subscription Free HD

Watch over 50 channels including HD programming and listen to over 25 radio stations without paying a penny thanks to the F6510's built in dual tuners.

Offering greater choice than ever, the F6510's Freeview HD and Freesat HD tuners mean you will never be short of something to watch. Picture in picture viewing lets you watch two channels simultaneously or connect a hard drive via USB to record shows to enjoy later

Not descriptive, but seems to be able to I would say (a phone call to Samsung maybe ?), not really the ansaw you were looking for.

That particular one will not. You can only record from the tuner you are watching at any one time. To do what you want look at the 2013 viera range with dual fs / fv and multi core processing
