The hotel menu is of great use for home users to force the set to a specific input when switched on from standby or 'cold'. The menu allows selection of av inputs for the tasks. So if you have your skybox on HDMI2, you can make it come on to HDMI2. If you have component then you can force to component etc.

When finished return set to standby and it is done.

AS ALWAYS NEITHER I OR DIGITALWORLDZ TAKE AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT YOU DO IN SERVICE MENUS

BE CAREFULL AND DONT PLAY WITH OPTIONS YOU DONT UNDERSTAND YOU COULD END UP WITH A UNRECOVERABLE PROBLEM AND REQUIRE A SERVICE CENTRE TO REFLASH THE UNIT (not good)

HOW TO DO IT

  1. Press and release the "F" key on the television itself and the volume bar will display.
  2. Quickly press and hold the down "\/" chevron on the television.
  3. Whilst holding the "\/" Press the "AV" button 4 times on the remote control
  4. Hotel mode menu will appear on screen. Release the "\/" chevron

[EVIL]Update - If you use the option right at the botton to switch off your remote you are in trouble as without the remote you cannot reset the television to factory conditons. Best not touch that option[/EVIL]

Cheers, that was bugging me - having to change the input each time!

Handy but not something Joe public should be messing around with, too easy to **** things up.

as above but instead of the 4 button press the 0 button 4 times gets you another menu :licker:

Thanks for this came in really handy to force my tv to start up on hdmi2 for my new surround sound

And here was me thinking it was something to do with a TV in a hotel room such as the Marriot lol
