iPhone iPhone 5 white charger port genuine replacement

Hi all

As title. Looking for a replacement charger port for my iphone 5. Mine will only charge at an angle so think gotta be changed.

Phones out of warranty so can't see apple doing anything altho I could argue soga with EE .... But could just change it an save stress.

Anyone know where I can source a genuine apple part ?

Could argue reasonable working life with apple on the consumer act or whatever it is.

I would take in into an apple store, they are pretty good at replacing phones that are out of warranty.

Problem is guys, my local store won't do anything out of warranty at all. Unless you pay for a recon handset then claim from network as it's them that sale of goods act applies with.

All they state is they make them and if I bought it from them I would have 2 year warranty but I only get 12 months as EE bought it. ..... Go figure lol

mine was the same , needed a good clean out . after searching google is very common on the i5 m8 , turn off and get a paper clip and bend the end can scrap all the lint out and works ace after

Cheers Smirnoff mate top post. Just done that an lead plugs in flush now. Didn't consider was dust compacted at the bottom of the port lol !!

Charges fine now
