Had some problems with dodgy repos in Cydia.

I've tried SSH in tot the iPhone and going into etc/apt/sources.list.d/cydia.list and editing them out, but they still come up as errors.

/private/var/lib/cydia/metadata.plist file. then deleted the bad urls but I think this is messed up as it is in code.
then in:
/private/var/lib/apt/list
and
/private/var/lib/apt/list/partial but still no joy :(

I tried restoring and re jailbraking and unlocking but still managed to add a couple that no longer exist.

Try using cyfix mate, the gui side is not working but if you install just cyfix. You then need to use mobile terminal on your iphone type su and press enter, now enter your password which is alpine if u aint changed it. Then Type in cyfix and press enter.It will now ask you for the url that is giving you problems,type it in as the error message is showing it,not the correct url and press enter.It will give you a few steps it goes through and tell you when it is done.Exit Mobile Terminal,and RESPRING BEFORE you use Cydia again, this should hopefully clear the bad urls.

Cyfix is meant to be on the xsellize repo but its giving me error when trying to install and the link for the download above dosent seem to be a deb file :err:

Cant you just delete them in sources in cydia? Or am I missing something....

It wont be showing mate, if its a dodgy repo it will keep showing errors but not show in the repo list. Everytime you load up cydia it will try to load the repo but it wont be able to so will just give the errors each time. It done my nut in until i found the cyfix solution, but i aint got it installed anymore.

what about ssh ing to your iphone ? remove them manually , last resort , but i have done that before today

Can't get CyFix but have looked in the following locations via SSH and still can't get rid of the errors -

* /var/lib/apt/lists
* /var/lib/apt/lists/partial
* /var/lib/cydia/metadata.plist
* /etc/apt/sources.list.d
* /etc/apt/sources.list.d/cydia.list
Is there a way to restore Cydia without having to restore the fw again?

I tried deleting and re-jailbraking but that just made it keep crashing, even using the latest method via jailbrakeme.com

* Edit - Got rid of some errors but not all.

i suggest then mate restoring and jailbreaking again and now you know whats sources are causing u the erroers dont install, did u use steffwiz to install all sources in 1 go , as i know its a pain in the arse , but id put in the reliable sourses individual , will stop u getting errors like this , pain but will be worth it
