iPhone Iphone 3GS Jailbreak etc etc help

Ok, Just bought a 16gb 3GS.
Now what can i do with this in regards jailbreak, black rain etc etc.
Can i screw it up and fubar my brand new toy.....lol.
If I can do something with it can it be restored back to standard just in case something goes wrong with it?

Sorry for so many question but just want to check...lol

Yes, Jailbreak is easy using Blackra1n mate first off check your firmware, it should be 3.1.2 if it is then just connect the iPhone to your pc and hit 'Make it Ra1n' then it's just a case of waiting a few seconds(I normally leave it a few minutes to be safe) then it will be Jailbroken. Unlocking is another option in blackra1n but no point in doing that unless you need to.

You can restore back to Apples untouched firmware but you'll only be able to go back to 3.1.2 now as apple have stopped you being able to go to F/W versions before that.

I have a 16GB 3GS JB'd and Unlocked so if you need anymore info let me know.

Only problem you may have depends on how new the iphone is..

The latest models once jailbroken and if you switch your phone off you will loose the jailbreak... so then you have to re do the blackrain...

but its very rare for iphone users to switch there phone off..

blackrain jail breaks 3G and 3GS iphone.

Cydia is similar to the app store - however it more to do with hacks

any!!!!!!!!!!!, do you have to get thru the phone?? or can you load up from pc?

the reason i ask is coz i'm swotting up on this so when i get one i don't fook it up

do you mean apps which you dont have to pay for ?

you have install appsync and then download iphone apps from the net..

yes apps that you don't pay for......

With a jailbroke phone you can get them once you add cydia, then added a source for apps, such as installous. However, once jailbroke you can go into file system of the iphone too. So for instance, i download my apps to pc first, then transfer into the iphone. This way is far quicker and you arent limited to where you get your apps from.

So there are other ways, i've never used appsync at all. Just simple, blackrain to jailbreak, plus install cydia to enable more function. Then the world opens up.

i was the same pal, wife had an iphone delivered two days ago and i followed the blackra1n tutorial and i had it cracked and unlocked to use a tmobile sim within 20 mins.

easy mate

so blackrain unlocks mobile to any network?

so i could use my vodafone sim in a iphone once unlocked?

Be sure not to update to newer software when apple release it when using an unlocked phone though mate as you will end up locking it again.
