Ipad PDF's ,word,Excel etc

Ive been given a Ipad through work and want to transfer all my ,PDFs ,word/Excel files on to it.Ive just tried a PDF and used iBooks to view it

1) Is there a all-in-one App that i can use to view PDFs,word,excel etc

2) On my Laptop ive grouped files/docs into Different Areas i visit IE:
London Folder = 2x PDF 3x Excel 10x word docs
Hampshire Folder 4x PDF 1X Excel 7x Word

Can i do this on the ipad or do all the PDFs get associated with 1 app and all the Word docs with another app??

Sorry im new to this ,ive had a iphone but only used it for Calls/text/photos and Browsing/FB

There's no shared storage area on an iPad that all apps can access, basically each App will have it's own 'desktop' or file system to keep everything in. So, you need 1 app that does all ('Documents to Go' is 1 example) then copy them into that app (via iTunes and a cable) OR get 1 app per file type and do it that way.

If you want to pay some money then Office365 for iPad can manage all the documents you mention.

If this is for work related stuff, does your company not provide a solution ?

Well, sort of. I'm using a cheap documents app that saves stuff in the cloud? It's MS compatible?

You will need first to install on computer a ipad transfer programme to get the docs onto iPad like Aiseesoft ipad transfer.
Or xilisoft ipad magic..Once transferred to ipad there are loads of free apps to read every file type..

If you have a gmail account then you get 15GB GDrive cloud storage free, this includes ability to edit Office documents online using Google Apps. There is also a free app for iPad to make files transfer a doodle and allows viewing of documents.

Ive ended up using a App called File Manger(FREE)
Install the App on deivce ,start iTunes on PC ,Select ur device then the Apps menu and scroll to the bottom.You should see the File Manger App ,from there you should be able to drag Folders/files from PC to Device
The Folder/File system looks exactly as it does on my PC.It opens all my files except Visio which need a special app but cant find a free one yet
