hi guys

I am looking to stream my iphone 5 to my tv , but I believe the cables don't work anymore?

what are my options , what I was looking for was to play youtube ect and movies when im away in my caravan ect.

any help appreciated

Yeah Apple TV, it works great too.

Not sure if this can be done another way though, It is great for looking at documents and pictures too... my kids are always streaming movies from their ipads to the apple TV!

Would be good to know if it can be done any other way!

there is an iphone to hdmi lead but this is £39 and to be honest id rather get the box for the extra ££ , I was wondering howe I can get it to run via my android tv smartbox which runs xbmc

Hi Mate the iPhone 5, 5c, and 5s use a different connector than earlier versions. You will need Lightning Digital AV Adapter.
i use airplay myself through either my samsung app , apple tv2 or my Android box rather than the wired option

to clarify.....

I want to be able to view video or webpages from my iphone 5 to the tv so I don't get why you would ask why I would want to?
I believe xbmc works with airplay so that's what I am trying to achieve

But you can do that via a Lightning cable or Apple TV. XBMC is irrelevant surely?
