ive purchased one of those android mx boxes from ebay

is there a way to just have this boot direct to xbmx without going to OS?
someone mentioned flashing them with Linux but I cannot find the thread now.

the xbmc is ok but not stable enough for me

lastly is there a way to have the films cache into external sd memory instead of internal so it supports continue playback

thanks

Do you have a link to the auction ?

strange about your XBMC not being stable, was it pre-installed on your box?

yes it was pre installed but I re-installed and configured it, yes it has mashup etc. it may be the heatsink which is not seated properly as it freezes after its been on for a while. ill strip it down to check

ahh ok, also there are 2 versions for android, arm or x86. you probably know this but thought it worth mentioning

To give yourself a bigger cache size is easy, do you have Xunity Maintenance installed if not install it then all you have to do is go into Xunity Maintenance pick Tweaks and click on Add 0 Cache Advanced XML. A warninig box will appear asking you if you have backed up then click yes to install.
Now if you test it on a Movie etc you will see if you pause that it carries in cacheing and depending on your SD Card size etc you could cache the whole movie if needed obviously now this SD Card must stay in a fixture .... If you are using USB Dive it will do the same.

If you haven't got Xunity Maintenance :-

Add Source .......
Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

Then :- System - Add-ons - install from zip .... file etc

And the rest you know :)

thanks m8 ill give that a go, I did mess about with settings earlier and I found a cache setting for mash-up, it had zero cache or full cache, ive tried it on full and its still same with a couple of the hosts but ill try this soon as I get back in.
