Hi there, i'm looking for an android tv box with around a £50 budget. Ideally would want to use it for playing xvids and android apps on the tv with onboard memory as i don't have a USB memory stick.

Cheers
Nick

Get yourself a sample Android MX stb from china, you can get one for less than $50 unless you want too pay a little more from a supplier in the uk...

I'm pretty sure I have that same model mate I know the one I have looks identical but when it arrived it was in a DroidTV box not sure how much difference that makes. I like it but I can't comment on any other boxes, If I could improve it making it a bit faster through the menus would be perfect by that I wouldn't say it was dog slow. I paid roughly the same but I didn't get the remote I bought a different one from DX for about £15-20 so all in it looks like a good deal to me. Mine came pre-installed with everything I just added flixster and netflix and everything else was there. When I bought mine it did say the firmware wass updateable but I've yet to see any update or get the box to connect to the server tbh so I'm not holding my breath for online updates but I'm 99% sure you can update via usb. If your using it for xbmc etc you will get everything you expect from xbmc on any machine but I wouldn't like to try and play games on it, hope this helps.

Cheers matey, looks like i'll go for it then unless anyone suggests anything better. I'll let you know how i get on with it mate, its mainly for xmbc and browsing internet on the tv with the touchpad.

Thanks
Nick
