Upgrade tablet from 4.1 jelly bean

Hi all. I am looking at upgrading a storage options 7" tablet to perhaps 4.2 jelly bean.
I tried the force update trick in apps (google services framework) but no joy.
Is there an easy way to install it some other way?

There are only 2 options..you manually flash a more upto date image correct for your device or see if it has OTA update function.
P.S you can not update your device using Google services framework this is for what i says google as in google play-search-gmail-etc.

These budget tablets are generally mass produced and re-branded for who-ever needs one. I had a similar tablet with the Advent Vega.
You need to figure out what the base product is and then search for ROMs for the base device.

A quick google search shows this might be a "Scroll Tablet", probably a good place to start
